2020 Seasonglass Photo Contest Terms of Service
Effective Date: Oct 5, 2020.

1. General

These Terms and Conditions of Participation govern the participation in the 2020 SEASONGLASS PHOTO CONTEST (the “Contest”). The Contest is sponsored by Seasonglass, Inc., 100 S. Bedford Rd., Suite 340, Mount Kisco, NY, 10549, USA (the “Sponsors”).

The purpose of the photo contest is to encourage applicants to be able to capture their immediate surroundings.

All questions and enquiries related to the Contest should be sent to info@seasonglass.com.

2. Applicant Eligibility

The Contest is open to all Seasonglass subscribers and their immediate family members, parents and/or their children (the “Applicants”).

Parental consent is required for applicants under the age of 18.

3. Application Procedure

Each entry consists of an online entry form, a single image in digital format only, a supporting statement, and entry fee.

a. Online Entry Submission

To enter, visit www.seasonglass.com to complete and submit an online entry form. Personal contact information and a supporting statement must be submitted online along with the digital file(s).

Online application submissions will begin on July 25, 2020. Please check the aforementioned website for any changes or updates related to the Contest.

A single digital image submission is accompanied by a statement of less than 200 words explaining the photograph and the process through which it was captured. Only one entry per applicant is permitted, and multiple entries will be disqualified. In the event that you wish to edit your submission, you will be able to do so any time before the deadline.

b. Photograph Requirements

The digital file must be submitted in JPEG format and must not exceed 20 megabytes in size. All other formats will not be accepted as a valid submission, and will automatically be disqualified.

Please note: All digital files must be ready to print upon submission, as no further editing or adjustments will be made before printing (only the winning photographs will be printed and produced).

4. Application Deadline

All online entries and digital files must be submitted by TBD.

No exceptions will be made for late submissions. 

5. Awards

The entries will be judged for: (1) quality of the photograph, (2) artistic aspect, and (3) work process behind how the photo was created (as explained in the supporting statement). 

Winners will be announced in December 2020. All relevant details will be posted on our website at www.seasonglass.com.  

6. Warranties

Applicants warrant that the entry submission is the original work of the applicant, and as such, the applicant is the sole and exclusive owner and rights holder of the submitted work. Each applicant agrees not to submit any entry that infringes any third party’s proprietary rights, intellectual property rights, industrial property rights, personal or moral rights or any other rights, including without limitation, copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, privacy, publicity, or confidentiality obligations.

7. License

By entering the Contest, all Applicants grant an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide non-exclusive license to the Sponsors to reproduce, distribute, display and create derivative works of the entries (along with a name credit) in connection with the Contest and promotion of the Contest and any future events related to Seasonglass Photo Contest.

8. Limitation of Liability

By entering this Contest, all Applicants agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless the Sponsors and its partners, affiliates, subsidiaries, and agents from any claims, losses, and damages arising out of their participation in this Contest or any contest-related activities and out of the acceptance, use, misuse, or possession of any prize awarded.

9. Conditions

All Applicants agree that this Contest shall be subject to and governed by the laws of the State of New York and the forum for any dispute shall be in the State of New York.

All federal, state/provincial/territorial, and local taxes, fees and surcharges and taxes (whether foreign or domestic, and including income, sales, and import taxes) on awards are the sole responsibility of the award winners.

10. Right to Cancel or Suspend Contest

If for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned, due to infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsors that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, the Sponsors reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual(s) who tamper with the entry process, and/or cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Contest. If the Sponsors elect to cancel or terminate the Contest, the Sponsors will not retain any rights in the submitted photographs, and will return the fees submitted with each entry.

11. Data Privacy

Applicants agree that personal data, especially name and address, may be processed, shared, and otherwise used for the purposes and within the context of the Contest. The data may also be used by the Sponsors in order to verify the participant’s identity, postal address, and telephone number or to otherwise verify the participant’s eligibility to participate in the Contest.
